Multi-stage hair-care routine, which isn’t merely about washing, is a thing now. As a hair maniac I love to test different tricks for hair growth, shine, and volume. You asked me to try a new TikTok rice water rinse hack and I did! Are you curious about the results? Keep reading!

Is a rice hair rinse really the latest trend?

Nope, it isn’t! It’s been known in Asian countries for ages but has become popular in Europe and America recently thanks to TikTok. We’ve been learning lots of useful facts on face care from Korean women, and it’s time to let gals from Japan and China teach us about the use of natural ingredients in hair care.

How to use rice water for hair rinsing?

There are a few ways as far as the preparation goes. You can cook rice in salt-free water, put the cooked rice in another container, and use the resulting water on hair. Another method involves putting rinse in cold water and leaving it for several hours, straining and using the water. I prefer the first way as it gives me half of dinner ready and a superb hair enhancer. Here are the ways of using rice water on hair:

1st method – wash your hair and use rice water for final rinsing.

2nd method – wash your hair, rinse it with rice water, leave it in for 5 minutes, and rinse with cool water.

What’s the point of using rice water on hair?

Water from cooking rice proves to bring many benefits. It is rich in minerals (iron, magnesium, potassium, zinc), nutrients, vitamins B, amino acids, vitamin E, starch, etc. Rice water is filled up with vitamins that give us healthier hair! Thanks to the wonderful components, rice water deeply nourishes hair and makes it shine, prevents split ends, and keeps scalp moisturized. Additionally, proteins in rice water rebuild the hair shaft and form a protective layer on its surface.

Is this TikTok hair-care hack worth trying?

I believe it is! Hair benefits and dinner at one go! Plus, it goes with the zero waste lifestyle I live. Why don’t you give rice water rinse a try while preparing dinner? The effects are spectacular, it is budget-friendly, and I’m sure you’ll love the results as much as other girls and I do.
