Next – toner
Cleansed skin needs a toner. I moisten a cotton pad with it and gently rub it on my face, neck, and décolletage. This is a product that mustn’t be omitted because it restores the correct skin pH level. This way, my skin gains a natural protective barrier against damage and absorbs active ingredients better.
How to apply face serum?
It is a cosmetic that contains a highly concentrated dose of active substances. It can have a nourishing, moisturizing or firming effect. The serum aids skin regeneration and thanks to its semi-liquid formula it is quickly absorbed. I pat in a few drops with my fingertips and wait for it to absorb. I apply the serum from the chin using an upward motion. I always apply the serum going to bed because the skin regenerates best at night.
It is also worth reaching for a face mask, which also contains concentrated nutrients. I use it regularly, not just for special occasions, and I apply it following the scrub. Believe me, the skin will repay you with its beautiful and radiant look.
How to apply face cream?
Applying moisturiser is an important step of the daily skin care routine. How to do it? I apply a little product on my fingers, spread it on the face and gently pat. This way, I stimulate blood flow, and the active ingredients from other cosmetics will be absorbed better. I rub the cream using an upward motion, just like the serum.
How to apply eye cream?
Do you use the same moisturiser for your face and eyes? I have bad news for you – it’s wrong. The areas around the eyes are extremely delicate and require different care. Eye creams have a much lighter formula, so you don’t stretch this sensitive skin. They are quickly absorbed, and used daily will help you get rid of dark circles. I pat the cream carefully under the lower eyelid and the eyebrow arch.
